Located in the municipality of Santana, just below the Levada do Caldeirão Verde, it is also a very pleasant route. It is one of the least traveled of this county, although it is one of the oldest.

Throughout the course, the vegetation diversity predominates. When you start you will mainly find non-endemic vegetation and from the middle of the trail, you will see endemic flora of the Laurissilva forest, such as Uveira, Urze, Loureiro, etc.

Until the end of the journey, in the heart of Levada, as you open spaces, enjoy the fantastic views over the various sites of Santana, São Jorge and Ilha.

This route also has a tunnel, so it is advisable to use a cap to protect the head and a flashlight.

In the heart of Levada, in Ribeira dos Arcos, we advise a short break to "charge batteries" before returning, by the same route to the starting point. You can even cool off in small ponds along this stream.
