Beginning in Calheta, it is less known perhaps for passing below the Levada of the 25 Fountains. It is a very pleasant trail, ideal to spend a day in contact with nature.

A little further on is a tunnel, accessible to anyone, although it is long. Do not forget to protect your head and use a flashlight.

During the trip you will be able to appreciate several species of endemic fauna and flora, always complemented by the magnificent panoramic views that occasionally appear on the valley of the Ribeira da Janela or Paul da Serra.

Some lagoons and small waterfalls are found later, standing out a beautiful cascade. Save these moments with pictures to remember later.

On your left follow the levada and go another few kilometers full of pure nature. At the end of the trip, take a break and take time to rest before the return trip is made by the same trail.
