Tour Laurissilva: Miradouro da Encumeada, Miradouro dos Vinháticos, Central da Serra de água e Miradouro da Boca da Encumeada.
In this tour you can enjoy one of the most precious of the Island- the Laurissilva, World Heritage of Humanity decreed in 1999 by UNESCO. In addition to the beauty of the circuit, there are several unique viewpoints, highlighting the Boca da Encumeada at 1007 m altitude, on the crest of the mountain range that crosses the interior of Madeira, from where glimpses of superb views of the deep valleys of Ribeira Brava (South coast) and São Vicente (north coast). Finally, we visited the hydroelectric plant located in the Serra de Agua, where all the work done by the first inhabitants of the Island is explained in order to make possible the existence of water for irrigation on the southern slope.
